Have you ever heard the term integrated pest management or IPM for short? Chances are, even if you have heard the term, you are asking yourself "What is IPM?
IPM is a process involving common sense and sound solutions for treating and controlling pests. These solutions incorporate three basic steps: 1) inspection, 2) identification and 3) treatment. Treatment options vary from sealing cracks and removing food and water sources to pesticide treatments when necessary.
A google search for IPM reveals over 1.4 million results. Clearly, many webmasters understand the importance of the phrase, but, until now, home and business owners were missing a central hub for IPM. The National Pest Management Association has created WhatisIPM.org - the nerve center for information on integrated pest management.
